Is 40 traps the norm for boats out there?

@MrLobsterman2 - Yeah, that's the norm. We're starting to do 35's because of gear reductions.

How many traps to a trawl do u guys fish? What bottom are u on in the gulf of maine?
@MrLobsterman2 - 40 traps, 23 fathom between each. Can't tell you much more than that, but I'm sure you understand.
Looks like it's a little choppy haha, I've been in weather just like this, things happen fast, nice to see other people can handle it

Looks like hard work and not for the faint of heart. These are some pretty good guys who stay out for 10 day trips in all but the worst weather, just to put lobster on the table and hopefully some money in their pocket. Hope to see more postings
