http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/ In today's episode we are going to add a sump to our aquarium, upgrade skimmers and auto top off system. We will also change the way we run GFO and carbon. In the beginning of the video we discuss some of the different ways to plumb an aquarium as well as individual plumbing pieces like check valves, gate valves and bulkheads. In a future episode we add a DIY sump.

  • Todays episode: change all the things!

  • @adam1885282 LOL it is true. This tank has go through more changes than any tank I have ever seen.Obviously this is done to help demonstrate a common progression path most reefers go through but this is typically over a period of years rather than months. Honestly I am happy with how will the fish and corals have adapted to the pretty much constant environment changes and I do think it is important to mention I would never recommend anyone implement this many changes this quickly

  • where do i get the black box(overflow box) like you have on there?

  • @KALZONE850 we are working on getting these in stock soon

  • What gph is that Ehiem pump?

  • @BulkReefSupplyCom ok thank for the videos :o)

  • @2micaveli the water wont go below the overflow box's teeth. Most that will drain back is about a half inch of water which the sump should hold. We siliconed the black overflow box over the drain pipe.

  • What if you have a power out in your house ?

will the water keep running down in the sump and overflow that ?

  • @KALZONE850 I can't figure it out either!

  • hey how big is the bulkhead for the outlet? and also how big is the bulkhead for the inlet?
