Okay, well when us atheists say "god" we're referring to the Oxford English Dictionary's definition. Not whatever definition each person mite arbitrarily assign that word. Everyone knows this already, so an unsure definition of "god" is not the cause of the problem. Wtf we're you even thinking?

It is outrageous that humanity allows itself to steered and guided by a non-existent greater being( god ).
Religion is a construct of man and a useful tool for our leaders through history to control the masses.

Religion itself isn't the problem. Its the concentration of capitol that does alot more to hold people back. In fact religion (in some cases) can be used to liberate.

i don't see why the existence of one problem has to exclude the other.

the concentration of capital into too few hands is a problem -- and so is religion.

believing in falsehoods can never liberate.

Well,l religion is a powerful motivator, and it instills in some people a strong sense of social justice. Ideally, i wish that all would come to understand reality as it is. But that is an impossible task, and becoming a radical aetheist only radicalizes and entrenches those holding religious beliefs.

If we try to weed out all false beliefs, we run into the question: What constitutes a false belief? The answer to that question can be just as false and subjective as the belief itself.

hitchens handles this well:
'name one ethical statement made, or one ethical action performed, by a believer that could not have been uttered or done by a nonbeliever.'

'think of a wicked statement made, or an evil action performed, precisely because of religious faith.'

the second is oh, so easy.

i think religion itself is destructive -- not the misunderstanding of religion.

the term 'radical atheist' is yours. i think there is no such thing.

as for the rest, find empirical evidence for your god.

i also don't like these "isms", these umbrella terms but that's me : |

i'll "cut my dialogue" with occam's razor(?) and just say that the most important thing is how we treat each other and ourselves. acquiring knowledge comes second.

pessimism is so drab so that's my bible. the words i live by. well at least i try

by 'isms' you seem to mean dogma, but atheism, even though it contains the suffix, is the opposite of dogma.

treating each other well is a priority, but it is also important to see and understand the universe as it is, and live a life that is examined. otherwise, it is, to me, a waste.
