Haleiwa Live

With Ustream.tv, a USB EVDO modem from Sprint (Ovation Wireless U720), a FireWire iSight camera, and a MacBook, I share a Hawaiian sunset with friends from around the island, and across the country. We picnic at Haleiwa Beach Park, then drive home through historic Haleiwa Town.

Video recorded by Bleu Caldwell, one of many mainland viewers. There's no audio, but we had a live teleconference going during the broadcast. I've added music to the clip: "New Seasons" by Darin Leong.

I miss the North Shore too bad - denofassassins, I know exactly how you feel...I grew up in Hawai'i and live in NYC now. Every time I leave, as the plane slowly cruises down the runway to take off, and eventually flys up, and by Honolulu on the left, I cry like a big baby. It's absolutely the WORST flight I have to take...every time...Mahalo for the youtube trip home!

I miss the north shore so bad. I live in boston and have family in kahuku. I go every year. I get so depressed when I leave. And watching this stuff kills me. The North Shore can effect your heart. It has mine.
