With a national debt 10 times greater than its economy, Iceland's collapse was the fastest in history. As Sheila MacVicar reports, one bank survived and its founders are breaking stereotypes.

  • Men are evil...

    Women are saints...

    DUH!

  • Better yet. Why do we give banks money. Free money. Wouldnt it be nice if everyone gave you their money. FREE money to do whtever you wanted to do with it. We can bring the banks to their knees if we would take our money out of the banks. This would bring them to their knees. Get a safe and a gun and put it in your own bank. Protect it yourself. Banks are not your friend. So why do them any favours. They are blood sucking vampiers.

  • I must have missed this part of his campaign n been a sleep for over a year I guess....

Happy 4th of July to you (as in you and I living in one of the Greatest' Countries on planet Earth, even if you don't like the president.)

  • Obama specifically ran as the Messiah for America, the One we could believe in. He arrogantly claimed that people could look back on his campaign and say that this was the moment when the sea levels began to recede and the earth began to heal. Even Hillary recognized how delusional Obama and his rhetoric were: parodying Obama as saying that if he would get elected, the heavens would open, we would all sing kumbaya and everybody would do the right thing. What campaign were you watching?

  • U make some valid points.........

Yes, Obama is unquestionably not the answer to our species seemingly ever increasing lack of moralities.... Did any one say he is?

Yes, smaller government in deed BUT look what lack of proper oversight did to the banking industry in the past decade + - or so.....

Yes, I probably would have voted for Ron P. but realizing he had that snow balls chance in hell I figured I knew how bad the repubs did in the last 8 yrs, no reason to stay on this destructive course

  • The worst greed and selfishness come from the bankers (who create money with no value) and government bureaucrats (who produce nothing but harass and punish those who do). These are Obama's main constituencies. Obama is not the answer for our moral problems.

Limit the intrusion of government and abolish fictional money. With honest money and liberty come an honest citizenry. Obama is taking us down the wrong road. The change we need comes from someone like Ron Paul who respects our Constitution

  • I am male n I agree with Ms. MacVicar's report 1o1%. Human - male greed is slowly destroying the standard of living for all but the top hand full.....

Not log ago I realized I was not selfish enough to be a good republican. This being the case I officially I switched parties even thou I am still basically republican minded.

Funny, this is the vary first time I voted for the guy that won the presidential election in my first 6o years os life.

    Aloha, Glennnnnnnn

  • HMMMM.....

Women in charge of the money in banks..... Maybe that is our answer....

    But, it'll never happen.....
