In Dead Space 3, Only Your Co-Op Buddy Will Hear You Scream

From what I heard, the Universal Ammo thing was only for the demo, as there are apparently weapons in game that they didn't wanna spoil? So... maybe?

The QTEs did kinda worry me. I sorta miss being dragged along and having to shoot the glowy bit of a Necro or something.

Replaying the second game i can see the difference from it and the demo

Dead Space 2 truly isn't a horror game, its an action game

The difference is that DS2 had a Dark gritty atmosphere and more about feeling alone until the next jumpscare

As for DS3, it has the same number of cutscenes as DS2 only with QTE slapped over them instead of free aiming. Also you lose the sense of fear for 3 reasons, Universal ammo, Enemies are now generic marines, Bright open world

completely agree. There was an eerie, oppressive nature of the first game that that was pretty much gone in the second. And is non-existent in the third. Gears of Dead Space 3 is not an understatement.

Loved Dead Space one, very excited to see the horror direction they were going with in that game. They did away with that direction, I felt, with Dead Space 2, going instead with huge set piece moments and with a bit more action. It was serviceable, but I didn't enjoy it as much. And Dead Space 3, oh boy...

anyone else think this looks REALLY bright in comparison to the other games? Like, to the point where you can see everything very clearly and there's no sense of mystery or tensions? I'm still hoping the game is nothing like the trailers.
