@matsnotfat Agreed on the sound quality ;) But about the dissonace @ 1.54 - 1.59, it is suppose to be that way :P I play the piece myself, I must know :D
The reason for beeing a rather noticable bit, is that it's build up by a augmented fourth, or Tritone, and a perfect fourth. A Tritone is known as: "The Devil's Interval", because of it's brutal and noticable sound. And remember that Between the perfect fourth and the augmented fourth it's a minor second, which is part of the dissonance :)
She also touches rhythmic roots of the dance form with her direct reading more readily than others who take a more "rubato" approach. You can feel the syncopation much more clearly here.
To call this reading simple would be to misread it supremely. One senses she is trying to evoke with the blocky simplicity of the ostinato phrasing a certain basic frailty of memory, as if to intentionally suggest a feeble attempt to conjure a lost land, or to evoke the emotional rudiments of an aspiration for restoration to wholeness that one can no longer feel. This allows the melody to flower out a torrent of feeling, when it weeps for this impossible soul within a world of obfuscation.

Sound quality really sucks!!!! Sounds like the microphone was wrapped in an old hiking sock, then dropped inside a drain for this recording.
Also, are there notes out of tune around 1.54 to 1.59 ? Sounds very strange.
I like Carmen Piazzini's version of this (not available on YouTube yet).
Feel free to dis-regard everything I say, I'll never be able to play this in a million years......
