I loved that place. Tasted some of the beers there, it was great. Their beers are nice and sour. Their geuze was nice and not sweet at all. They don't add sugars nor sweeteners at all which is a great relief. I bought the kriek, framboise, and geuze there. Will try and keep the geuze in the basement for a couple years but it will be difficult.

Very well worth a visit but be aware that the Brewery is not 'right in Brussels' its on the outskirts in Anderlecht and I suggest that you dont do a 'one-man visit' as the area is notorious for crime activities...the Owners were robbed in the premises at knife point a couiple of years ago.

Used to hate sour beers, just like i used to hate overly hopped beers. Now i love em both. Just gotta drink as much as you can and find what you like.

You didn't drink a Bud Light while you were in there, did you? Kind of sounds like it.

No, I've never drunk a bud light. The Cantillon experience was nice because it was like going back to the past. But let's face it, the past sucked when it came to beers. No gas, no sugar, acid taste... crap.

I guess when you make a statement like "their beer tastes like piss" you're going to sound like you don't know what you're talking about. Especially where a very highly regarded brewery is concerned.

Awesome. Thank you for filming and sharing this. One day I would love to make this pilgrimage too. Great beer and a very respectable traditional lambic brewery.

It's well worth the visit and it's right in Brussels, so you don't have to travel far from town to see it. Cantillon is also home to the Gueuze Museum, which is fitting.
