Bush didn't like this limit on government power. That's why he called the Constitution "just a goddamn piece of paper", and pushed the PATRIOT Act, National ID, Military Trubunals, undeclared wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, etc. (with bipartisan Congressional approval).

Obama doesn't like this limit on government power, which is why he continues Bush's policies mentioned above.

I don't understand the "blind spot" he talks about. If he was talking about Women and Minorities having the same rights as whites our Constitution has this right now.

You need to go learn history, if the Founding Fathers said "Let's fight the biggest army in the world...oh and get rid of slavery" all at the same time, no one would have been behind the effort.

It wasn't a blind spot with the constitution as much as a blindspot with the Citizens of the colony.

You may interpret his view here as "not bad" but he has also said that the constitution is incomplete; a "list of negative charters of what the govt. cannot do but it does not list the things that the govt. must do on your behalf".
