This video shows how to set up DAOS ( Lotus Domino Attached Object Service ) which is a new feature in Lotus Domino Server Release 8.5. This feature removes attachments from the database and stores them in an encrypted form on the Operating System disk.

To use this service you need to be running Transactional logging on the server and it would be best that Transactional Logging be run on a separate disk to both the operating system and also Lotus Domino Data directories.

My name is Vaughan Rivett and I am a Lotus Consultant based in Auckland, New Zealand.
