The Bruery Oude Tart, 7.5% ABV

"Oude Tart is a Flemish-Style Red Ale aged in red wine barrels for 18 months. Pleasantly sour with hints of leather, dark fruit and toasty oak."

  • you're not a beer reviewer..you are actually a very successful hollywood producer aren't you? that house looks ballin

  • @HokieHomeBrew Haha, it's true. I had tell all the topless models to quiet down and stay out of camera view since this is a family channel. ;-) My aunt did a great job completely re-landscaping her backyard and it makes for a great backdrop for reviews. I'll make to shoot a review in December or January when it's in the 70s by the pool to piss everyone off in the rest of the country. ;)

  • It's so weird to me as an East Coaster to see Palm Trees right now. What a great atmosphere to review your beers...except for the construction, of course...

  • @kbuzz26 I might have to film there more often but every time I film outside I have to deal with something. I'll make sure to film another one in January there. ;)

  • Sounds like a pretty nice Flemish sour. does it beat the ones from russian river? Can't wait to try those. Great review Ryan! Btw when are you up for collabing one the North Coast beers? Cheers!

  • @TheMasterOfHoppets Well they don't use fruit in this one so it's hard to compare to Russian River's red/brown sours but it's one of the best American examples of the style.

Yep, I'm up for a collab on those. I'll have to pick them up and I'll let you know when I have them.

  • @realaleguide Haha, I picked the wrong time to film this review. Oh well.

  • @podunkparte I've yet to see it in shops down in San Diego and had to get it at the Bruery's shop. They did make more of it this year. If you like the style then you should enjoy this one.

  • @Tantrum777 It's a really nice beer but when I tried it side by side with Rodenback Vintage '08, the Rodenbach blew it away.

  • @mrgrimviking You'd definitely like this one then.
