((2nd)) email. Sorry I thought it was your vid, lol.
u were saying about engine starting;- I've been flying off my own farmland for 30 years. I find it best to restrain the model, start on very low power, then go round the back to rev. -> I know what u were saying, but, the model is stationary, & on low power.-> I prefer not to use the expression 'Damn thing ', I dont think theres any need for it, If people were a bit more graceful. But hey, please dont think I'm critising u. cya :-)
Sorry 4 what I said, know what u mean, u have some good points, its good the way u fly. All it really was,..a bit bothered about people pushing it a bit too far, & having an accident in the process. When the prop is edge on, @ face height, a slight mis judgement & it could be serious.
I've been flying for years, & want it to continue for everyone.
I hand lauch, but in the traditional way,..that way, the model should always, move away from u.
Oh bty,..I think futaba is one of the best, lol. cya
@martinhoy1 I'd say he cares more than you do. If you can make a piece of crap a flotation device that saves someone's life, WHO CARES? It does the job, and that's the bottom line. The only brands I care about for example are the ones I know that have proven themselves. If you're constantly having a brand pageant, you can't possibly be flying.
@martinhoy1 My GOODNESS, what ignorance. The hobby is all about learning, pushing the envelope, and seeing what's possible, getting better, and most importantly, HAVING FUN! I agree, it wasn't too safe to walk up to the plane hovering like that, BUT, you run the same risk when you start the damn thing. Pilots like the one in this vid do credit to the hobby by showing innovation, what's possible, a desire to think outside the box and have a BALL!!!!
