Quality of fuel? Since you can't get leaded anymore, do you have a decent lead-replacement additive? Was this built after the changeover?

Did you ever get it fixed? Mine had the same exact trouble. I just put up with it because it ran fine after it got running. BUT, sometimes hard to start when hot. Finally it sputtered and would hardly start at all. I tested for spark and there was virtually zero. I replaced the coil and it is LIKE A NEW DUCK! Now it start instantly no matter if hot or cold. Best $75. I ever spend. I got my coil from French Parts in Washington State. Good luck!

have you tried cleaning the jets? also, check that the fuel pump is working properly. it eventually starts so it is less likely to be a coil. i find that mine starts better just on the gas pedal, i never really use the choke....

fuelpump is 2 months old... the jets are clean.. I don't know it anymore...
