Very much so. The good thing is you don't have to spend any money to test the engine because it's free. After that, if you need to add you're own custom stuff, you can just buy the pieces you need to do so.

You can use blender to create models to import to 3drad. I know that blender has a real time render program, but its no where near as great to work with as 3drad!
