Sea Shepherd Captain Lies about Collision with Whaling Ship

This video clearly demonstrates that Paul Watson, Captain of anti-whaling ship "Steve Irwin", told lies to the Sydney Morning Herald about the collision with Japanese whaling ship Nisshin Maru.

The report says:

"Captain Watson said he tried to back away but the movement of the whaling ships made a collision inevitable."

Clearly untrue, the video demonstrates that the Steve Irwin actively attempted to ram - and succeeded in ramming - the Nisshin Maru.

The report also says:

"Sea Shepherd leader Paul Watson said his vessel hit the Yushin Maru No.1 when it swept in front of him to clear the Steve Irwin away from the stern of the factory ship Nisshin Maru so it could take a whale aboard."

Once again clearly untrue, it is the Steve Irwin that sought the collision then told lies about it, presumably so its captain could try to avoid the legal consequences of his decision to deliberately ram a ship.

whaling is one of the worlds oldest practices. the whales reproduction has adjusted to allow for hunting and not hurt their numbers.
