  • . it offended me & i refuse to support him. Honestly, if I dont support Obama, I will have more people critisizing me saying 'his own people dont even support him'. can we look past politics and examine the historical signifigance of him being president at all ? i support alll blacks being educated leaders and occupying roles we as a people have not previously.

  • its obviously not solidarity, if im saying i've supported the conservative side before . and thanks for that information on Gingrich, but i generally go off the most recent information, and that when Gingrich said Newt Gingrich: 'African-American Community Should Demand Paychecks And Not Be Satisfied With Food Stamps, rather than saying 'people on welfare' ... because the majority of people with help from government are white

  • And just as a sidenote, it was me, in elementary schoola young republican holding a sign on the streets campaigning for Bush and Cheney in 2004. And me, in middle school listening to Hannity, O Reily & Bortz to and from school everyday. And so yes, it takes alot for me to say I will vote for a Democrat, but obviously it is for good reason. I am well informed.

  • If I have Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich going around inferring that black people are on welfare and are out to just spend the money of the rest of the world...why would I support that ? Before I am aligned with any political party...I am African -American first. Thats what the world sees first, and thats what I am judged on first, before anyone knows anything else about me. If you are not black, I can't say I would expect you to understand. But thanks for the feedback ! That was fun ! :)

  • The other GOP candidates dont have anything better to offer this country... why not keep him in office & see what he can do with a second term. As for my comment about supporting my race, I don't find anything wrong with that, and I don't take it back...I would hope that every race supports each other. I feel that the Caucasians look out for each other & support each other all the time- so why is there a problem if I feel it would be best to support him??

  • Racial solidarity is what the democratic party feeds upon Rachel. If you are going to vote for Obama you should really come up with a better reason than that he is black. Think about what you said "I believe in supporting blacks", and by the sound of it you will support him unconditionally for re-election because he is black, what if all white people thought the same, Obama wouldn't have even become a senator or president for that matter.

  • if you are a conservative why would you vote for obama again?

  • @RadiantRachael Im just stating facts...I am black and I cant let any one that I know thats black be fooled by the global elite. That one family has had 4 presidents, 1 vice president and has had 7 people total that have gotten the political platform to run for president. and we have only had 44 presidents...any who Ron Paul 2012! lol

  • @RadiantRachael OHHHH!!! and on the bush and cheney note how could i FORGET??? George Bush, Cheney, and OBAMA are all RELATED. you can check that online (courtesy of ancestry.com) And when you were campaigning for bush in 2004 guess what? you were helping him campaign AGAINST HIS COUSIN John Kerry. He too is apart of the same family. they are ALL COUSINS. The political system has been corrupted and thats why when obama took over he kept george bush's whole cabinet instead of picking a new one.

  • @RadiantRachael choose a candidate based upon your own values. just write a list about things that are important to you and whom ever relates to those values the closest is who should have your vote. Its good to see a young sister who cares. Maybe our youth have a chance after all! & arent concerned about Copping Jordans, having babies or smoking weed (even though Ron Paul will legalize the weed) LOL

  • @RadiantRachael that violates our constitution and our bill of rights. He is going to take us to war with Iran. Another war we cant afford and he passed the healthcare bill that REQUIRES all U.S. citizens to purchase healthcare in the year 2013 or face a hefty fine or prosecution. I dont want the government telling me what services i have to buy thats an individual choice. Whats next? you tell me what job i can have or what school i can attend or what car i can drive? think about the impact then

  • @RadiantRachael they have been working and havent had the chance to think about anything other than putting food on the table.Which is the case for alot of black people. But before you vote for obama, do an internet search for the NDAA and what it means for you. Its a law he just passed that allows american citizens to be assassinated on U.S. soil. and it also gives the military the ability to run in your house and take you to jail for how ever long they want with no charges and without trial

  • @RadiantRachael AND its great that you talked about the social pressures to vote for obama. First of all, your vote is confidential. No one will know who you voted for but you. Secondly, those same people who do the pressuring are the same ones who make impulsive decisions based on stereotypes or let the media decide who they will vote for because they themselves havent taken the time out to look into the views of what the candidates have to offer. wether its because they dont care or because

  • @RadiantRachael BUT I say all that to say I will be voting for Ron Paul. Before this year I wrote him off. But thats because I never actually listened to his message. The same way that people were being inspired in 2008 by obama is whats taking place for Ron paul RIGHT NOW. Ive never voted before because I never felt like it made a difference. Now is the first and only time I have actually felt like it does and thats a wonderful feeling.

  • @RadiantRachael 2.) vote for who best reflects your views and what you want to get done in this country AFTER you do research to see how much integrity that person has or what the real impact of the policies that candidate wants to impose will be for you and for the rest of the people in this nation. once you have done that then I have no argument for you because the vote represents what you want and stand for not just whats popular or the "in" thing to do.

  • @RadiantRachael Your not a political nut which is expected for a young black person in this day in age but you are ahead of the curve for being interested in the electoral process at all. Im 24 and when I was 18 none of my friends gave 2 shits and even now its hard to meet other black people who are young that pay attention to the world that we live in. BUT what i will tell you is that 1.) the character of a person is way more important than his race.

  • @MasterfulInsane no, i am an american hero.
