  • He sounds terrific. Very understated, which is refreshing.

I just want to confirm his positions before I become a staunch supporter.

  • I find this guy intriguing. I'll be checking out his positions & look forward to his first debate.

  • I've been waiting for a 2012 contender with "WOW" and I think Rep. McCotter has it! This compilation video is great for giving a general idea of what his views are and what type of legislation he supports. I just emailed the Sean Hannity show and Laura Ingraham show to see if they can get this guy on so he can advertise his run for the nomination. I'm writing this to encourage those of you who are impressed by Rep. McCotter to do the same and drop a line to talk radio shows, etc.

  • @DarcPrynce And thanks for posting this video. I think you missed some really good quotes of his, but you certainly got some good ones. Thanks for sharing.

  • @DarcPrynce I think I would more closely associate his principles as more "Reagan" Conservative/Populist, not straight conservative or libertarian, but a unique blend of both. I like Thad, really do, but Dr Paul will have my vote come the MI primary, unless of course Thad has a chance to not only win here, but has done well in other states before here. I think Dr Paul represents the change I would like to see in our gov more than Thad does, but at least Thad gets it on some very key issues.

  • @mindsaglowin Those votes were based not on party lines, but on constituent lines. The people Thaddeus represent are the people he votes for. If his office gets folded with calls, letters and e-mails saying vote yes or no of this or that, he listens to what his people want. As he puts it, when he talks to his constituents he makes it clear that he works for them, not the other way around.

  • @PsychoBurgundy007 As far as getting people to "know about him", his entire campaign is centered not really on getting Thad elected, but to get his message out. To get him on the stump to be heard by the rest of the candidates and the rest of the party base. I would be willing to bet that at least 95% of the people that will vote in Nov, 2012 have no clue who he is now, but if at least 50-60% by that time have heard of him, then right there is a small win.

  • @PsychoBurgundy007 The people from Missouri really don't know anything about him because he's from Michigan. I happen to know a little bit about him, but then again, I do live in his district. Most people that I have talked to outside of my district, which Thad's district is relatively small, about 30 or so square miles, have heard very little about him, but those of us in his district are well aware of who he is and what he stands for.

  • I was at his announcement speech in Whitmore Lake, MI on Saturday. I like Thad, he's a really smart, down to earth, practical politician. Having lived in his district the last 4yrs, it pleases me greatly that he is taking his message to the American people on one of the highest stages one can get. I don't think he get very far, a few primaries, maybe, but his message needs to hit the ears of as many Americans as he can get.
