@Harmonykat100 I had the same experience not long ago when I went to the Guitar Center here in the KCMO area. I can JAM at home, but I'm dense when it comes to QUALITY BASS AMPS -- even after playing for going on 7 years. WADE answered my questions, let me have the run of the bass section of the store - Gallien Krueger for me, BTW -- and was VERY courteous and respectful of my situation. Maybe it's a regional thing?

@TheDrRamsey Wow you are really perceptive to know what kind of musician is just by his / her making a nice comment. Funny thing is I am also perceptive and I can tell that your life is a financial and social train wreck.
of course you will not admit it and may even try to convince me or others that it is not so. You will be unable to do that as you lack the vocabulary and empathy to convince anyone of anything. You criticized someone for making a nice positive comment. no excuse for that.

Guitar Center in Albany, NY is nothing like what is being posted here. The Customer Service is second to none. The employees are very helpful and patient. I've always been treated with respect from the time I walk in the door until the time I leave. If you just take the time to talk to them and not get caught up in your own ego you just might find them very helpful. Go jam someplace else so us consumers can do some business.

Guitar Center sucks. People who work there suck. Soulless sales-people working for comission - willing to screw you over if it means they are gonna be making more money. They don't give a damn about people. They are all failed musicians who are coming to the realizations that they suck, their music sucks, noone gives a damn about their music, they have no talent, and the only way they can feel good about themselves is by screwing over other musicians.
