I would suggest consulting a locksmith. Often he can repair the stuck lock or supply a new one and match the new lock to the old key. Often the locksmiths price for a new lock is way under buying one from the dealer.
On the Ford ignition the guy had in his hand, what he doesn't tell you is the key has to be turned for the lock to be removed. Of course if your key would turn, then you probably would not be interested in fixing it!
