Michael Caine plays Detective Abbeline in this 1988 Lorimar Production of Jack the Ripper. Fantastic music and wonderful acting but this is total fiction - if you want to know more about Jack the Ripper see my films on that subject on the alanheath channel.

not true this film was as close at the time to records and yes the queens doctor wasunder suspision also her grandson, a man named tumblety, and a man named montegue john druied who drowned himself shortly after the killings stopped. but your right i dont think we will ever know strange thing to link this though tumblety was married to a liverpool girl and died of arseinc posioning and she was convicted and was hanged in walton jail which is a15 min walk from my house

@xxkil None of those people were ever suspected by the police at the time. Druitt was only suggested after his death, Tumblety is absurd as he was a foreigner and did not know the area - as for the Queen's doctor it is totally absurd.

@TakaS013 I did not have it as this I found on a VHS video cassette from 1988. However someone did publish the entire film here on you tube - I watched it a few months ago.

@HuwGeeRection No, Tumblety did not know the area and this was a man who fitted in and had excellent local knowledge. Someone that was no different from anyone else.

@xxkil I don't think anyone will ever know who Jack the Ripper was. What is certain is that he was a local who could blend in. This royal doctor theory is absurd because of this.
