... Social Distortion Don't Take Me for Granted....

Lyrics:

Im your worn in leather jacket
Im the volume in your fucked up teenage band
A Pack of smokes and a six pack
Im the dreams you had walkin down the railroad tracks
You and me

Im your first taste of romance
Im your first broken heart on a Saturday night
Guys like us aint got no chance
But Im the thing that keeps you and me alive
But not forever

Chorus:
So take me down the road
Take me to the show
Its something to believe in
That no one else knows
But dont take me for granted

Im the blood on your guitar
Im that wave you caught back in 1975
Im as strong as a thousand armies
Im as soft as a petal on a long stem rose
I am love

Chorus: x 2
So take me down the road
Take me to the show
Its something to believe in
That no one else knows
But dont take me for granted
Im with you when youre born
You can take me when you die
With all the reasons why
But dont take me for granted

No one knows
Dont take me for granted

  • canzone stupenda...grande gruppo cazzo....

  • @skateboarder501 That's because when your in the studio, you rerecord any time you make a mistake. If you don't, your album isn't going to be that good. Once you get in the studio, you'll see the beautiful annoyance that comes with it.

  • @RockIsTheWord Honestly, I don't think he was thinking about him on the most part, the song has has little to do with Dennis (if any, beyond that he was there at the time). He may have been thinking about him (as a song writer, I know your mind moves a lot while your writing it), but I don't think he was the inspiration. It just doesn't fit with the lyrics.

  • es la misma musica de la de disidencia.. 30.ooo mil tumbas imaginarias? quien copio a quien?

  • @LongviewGD182 Because people feel the need to over-rate religion. :]

  • @LongviewGD182 Because Social D is real

  • The guitar riffs are perfect.

  • This song has not ever sounded as beautiful and perfect as it does now.

  • @Scout7979 He dedicates it to Dennis Dannel when he plays it, I don't think it's necessarily about him but I think Mike was thinking about him when he wrote it

  • @2112murphy as far as this being about Joey, the lyrics don't really match up. I mean no disrespect to him, but it really doesn't fit. It could be inspired by him though.
