Allow me to clarify: bro cut away at roughly 100'. At best his reserve would fully deploy after roughly 700' of freefall. Canopy collision was flyable, low cutaway was fatal. BSBD and thanks for the lesson.

know your three Cs Cool Calm Collective.

Why did he escape his own parashute?
-
why cut at 60 feet total panic
-
Unfortunate death, but way too low to cut away.

not to be unsympathetic, my condolences to the jumper's family, but as an avid jumper myself, that's just bad judgement, perhaps just gross inexperience. I agree with the comment that it would have been better for the upper pilot to do nothing.

i dont know why the upper pilot didn't do NOTHING! worst he could do was cutting off the parachute that slowed them down before impact. maybe both would have survived.
obviously he tried to open the rescue but didn't realize that it was too close to the ground, poor guy :(
a little more altitude and this would have worked...

R I P :(

Thank you for correction!
I think the upper pilot released because he felt guilty and wanted to save the other guy's life. So sad! With 2 parachutes opened they may could have survived it...
Hey man, it's not paragliding. It is called sky diving.
By the way why did the upper pilot engage his canopy??Did all the 2 pilots die? Please reply.
