@anasiaj I do understand that you believe the Qur'an is God's word, and I can appreciate how that influences your thoughts. What you fail to do is appreciate that those who are not religious (or at the very least, are not Muslim) are equally uninfluenced by the Qur'an, therefore quoting scripture from it is ineffective. I'm not a Hindu, but if I were to begin offering quotes from the Vedas, you would most likely dismiss them without hesitating.

the odd thing about the irreducible complexity argument is that it is, at least, a challenge, and it seems to me that rebutting it actually does advance science. And afterall, we don't exactly know how things evolved, and it would be good to know, and that requires taking the parts apart and seeing how it happened. Its a fluke, really, and most of the religious arguments just slow things down, which is why I make this point.

The thought of an intelligent being or entity creating the world as opposed to "it just happened" would destroy their very belief system and cause science to have a paradigm shift. WOW! I've heard bull before but this takes the cake. Let's look at the argument from this libtard. OK. So irreducible complexity has been debunked because another cell was found that resembles another one with less parts. Well how does the cell from the bubonic plague get around? It uses the tail as a syringe. This mis-leading garbage doesn't say how the bubonic plague cell travels. The flagellum dies without its tail. I'm not even going to comment on the stupid modified useless mouse trap.

What these guys are missing is that taking away a part stops the INTENDED function altogether! I don't care about his silly tie clip if I want a working mouse trap! The syrenge example is no good as a refutation of I.C. because even that wouldn't work if reduced. Very poor attempts to debunk I.C.

These "scientists" are perfectly free to "research" anything they like. They just won't get anyone to buy it until they can provide evidence that can stand up to the rigors of peer review.

@spryguy Problem is when fantasy substitutes reality in the minds of men, driven not by wonder nor beauty, but by fear and ignorance. And that is what the creationists/IDers have done.

A better argument against God's existance than ID and creationism is hard to find.
