I got permission to use this Video from Holly herself. This video is a UK video about Organ Donation. I myself have received a kidney transplant after 6 1/2 years of dialysis so Holly's story really interested me. Please visit her site to hear more about Holly:

Please visit: http://battlefront.co.uk/campaign/the-gift-of-life/

"Did you know that 1000 people die every year because of the shortage of organ donors in the UK? In 2005 I went on the kidney transplant waiting list after a sudden illness caused kidney failure. I'm now kept alive by a dialysis machine which Im attached to 3 times each week. For many others on the waiting list this isn't an option - for them an organ transplant is a matter of life and death. My campaign will raise awareness of organ donation and encourage more people to think, talk and do something about it. As a result, this campaign will save and transform lives, perhaps even my own. Waiting is tough! However I have seen the difference a transplant can make and this gives me hope for the future that I will be able to do the things I have dreamt of."

Thanks for watching the video.

  • This is terribly sad. We who are on the waiting list aren't vultures; we are scared. Before I was told I needed a liver transplant, I had already signed up to be an organ donor. Of course they don't want my organ's now for donation, but I have signed my body over to science upon my death in hopes it will benefit someone else's life. Maybe your Roberst1966. Maybe your child's life or the person that they will eventually marry. Don't hate us because we want to live.

  • Thank you CherishLuvsU :) Actually I was told that I could donate all other organs except the one that I got transplanted. I didn't know that before :)

  • So I get an Organ Donor Card? What you are waiting for is me to suffer a serious injury that leaves my organs healthy enough for some body else to use. If my heart is still beating my organs become more sought after and valuable. I'm with the Japanese with this, if my heart is still beating you can fuck right off. Squirt as much cold water in my ear as you like, I'm getting buried how I died.

  • You know swearing is uncalled for. No one is hoping anything bad happen to you or forcing anything what so ever on you. Also people can donate a kidney without dying you know.. or maybe you don't know.

Anyway, if you swear again I shall block you. You have made your point and you clearly don't understand me at all. There is no reason to continue this with you as I get the impression that you have a lot of anger for some reason and you should take it out on the person you are mad at. Not me.

  • @roberts1966 I just read this now and it is horrible. It is your opinion never the less but shows that you don't have all your facts straight. Holly is doing this to spread awareness. I am not Holly but Holly gave me permission to put this up here (even though the TV station that originally recorded it has a problem with me putting it up). I myself had a kidney transplant .. actually a 2nd one after my first failed. I am an organ donor. They are still good. Just no kidneys can be from me.

  • I detect pure self interest here. You have had someones kidney, and are aware it aint going to last for ever. So you post that you are willing to donate your organs in the hope that others will too.

The fact that you will need another kidney before long and you are in such poor health that your own organs aint worth shit kinda blows your argument that I've got a donor card out of the water.

    Take care.

  • You are entitled to do what ever you like with your body. After all, it is your body. But personally I have signed up to be an organ donor as I won't need my parts after I die and I know how it helps to donate as I have had a kidney donated to me. I would never push anyone to donate if they have any reservations however. That is how I feel personally but am grateful to the kind souls who do want to give the Gift of Life. Take care.

  • great video!
