Saw the origional band open for Cream in Anaheim around 1970 or so. Live, they were as good as Cream. Awesome. My first concert. Hard to top that one. At the same venue saw Steely Dan open for Bread (Free txs) right after the Dans 1st album. They were unforgettable.

my dad is a hippie and he used to listen to Spirit all day and all night. They kicked some ass. Plus, Mark Andes went on to play with "Heart"
