Dude, THIS BASS IS LIGHT...I see one for sale locally for around 400 bucks..what do ya think??

I have the exact same bass (paid $300). Made from 90-94, 93's were still sold in 94 stamp. You can get reproduction custom pickguards on ebay if you want to change the look. This is the predecessor of the Aerodyne. Pickups are plain old P and J, so any upgrade with work. I have active EMG's in mine. This was made for a few years to get Fender out of the Japanese market of the same style basses, in order to phase it out and go 100% American until the good old Mexican made started up. Goodluck.

@lclaughton Dude, get it. Yes, the bass is EXTREMELY light. It's quite fantastic. I'm about to do quite a few mods to it. Now that I've had it for like a year. I say go for it. Beats regular old p basses and j basses. It's got a cool factor you just can't get from them, and just looks and feels awesome.
