  • @N21X Np, bud. And it also has the go drive feature. Hope you enjoy it.

  • @Rikki0

Hey, that's not too bad! Maybe they are in my range. Hmmmm, father's day is coming up. There still might be time! :)

  • @N21X I just got the small AV8OR from Sporty's for 599.00 plus tax and shipping came to $620.00. I'm strictly VFR and the AV8OR does everything I need it to. Was a good buy as far as I'm concerned.

  • Not at all. In my view at least. I own the smaller hand-held Av8or. Its bright enough to use in daylight. It is most likely they didn't turn up the brightness to max, however, agreed, they would put it in a dark booth in order to make everything more vivid. That's salesmanship for you. :)

I love the smaller unit. Looking forward to jumping up to the ace in a month.

  • I was at the show and looked at the Aviator and was surprised at how dim the screen really was, even in indirect sunlight it was barely readable. In the video they show the display in a very dark area to make the screen look brighter but it would be hard to use unless youre flying mostly night time

  • These GPS's are pretty cool but they are still out of my price range. Over 2 grand to get the go fly and go drive features is pretty steep for me.
