  • if it wasn't for thom, i never would have known. great dancer, very lovely.

    thom's better, though.

  • My absolute FAVORITE feeling is seeing/taking in an artist getting choked up over another artist's work.

  • @OfficialCable Fair enough. What I'm getting at, though, is that we seem to be culturally unaccepting of someone being genuinely moved by something -- especially something as abstract as dance. And, really, who are we to say his reaction is over the top? He was moved by it. Everyone is moved by different things. Who are we to decide what is worthy of a reaction and what isn't? I cry at the opera, which many people can't understand. My father can be moved to tears by a painting, not me. All valid

  • OH COME ON!

  • @danakerman What im getting at is, it is over top. Crying isnt something you just do, its supposed to mean something, such as saying I love you. Hence why i am stating he's a pathetic drama queen. Also i'm a artist and im a singer/guitarist in a band, so please dont say i dont understand Art.

  • @brucelee6790 BTW: for those of you who are a little unclear as to what the term "modern dance" actually means in the professional dance world, there is a very informative article on it on Wikipedia. You'll note it doesn't include popular or urban styles like shuffle, tap, breakdance, etc. It refers to something specific: namely concert dance in the classical tradition.

  • @OfficialCable In my opinion it is those who cannot be moved by artistic expression who are pathetic -- it is the reason the fine arts are slowly dying and our culture is becoming more vapid and devoid of substance each and every day. As far as deaths around the world... I don't know what that has to do with this, but I find that equally moving. If you cannot understand this guy's reaction, I doubt I could explain it to you. Being an artist myself, I understand it very easily.

  • just a random question... is that judge a flaming homosexual?

    the dance was brilliant.

  • that guy is sick, the judge

  • @danakerman No, only pathetic people cry at art such as dance like this. I bet he doesnt cry when he see's a servicemen die in Iraq or millions of kids starving in Africa. This is pathetic over the top drama.

  • @Mabuza14 Because hes a drama queen puff

  • Wait, why is he crying?
