The 15 Below jacket is a high-concept, low cost solution to help the homeless survive the winter. Newspaper can be stuffed into the numerous lining pockets for adjustable protection from the cold.
This video demonstrates the extent of the coat's capabilities -- the trial begins in an industrial meat locker kept at -18 degrees Celsius then lowered to -30 degrees Celsius.
Fifteen 15 Below jackets, each one signed by a socially-aware personality, plus donated memorabilia are being auctioned off on eBay from November 15-November 30, 2008. All proceeds will be donated to the Salvation Army to help people living on the streets survive the cold.
