Awesome. What is the origin of this musical style? In the USA we associate this style of music with Mexico, or at least American Mexicans (Tex-Mex, Cumbia, etc.).

Hi Banjopariah these are musicians from Costa Rica and the Style is Calipso. The influence of these type of music into Costa Rica came from Jamaica.

Thanx for the reply & information. So, do you know if the Mexican 'Cumbia' & other similar styles from Mexico come from or were influenced by Costa Rican or Jamaican music?

Its a difficult question and I can´t answer it cause follow influences in music are a huge subject. I´m sure there is some connections in the caribean and mostly in Veracruz where the influence came from Cuba but the Calypso is a Jamaican thing .
