Playing my Ibanez J-Custom in Ochanomizu (it means tea water), Tokyo for the first time before I bought it back to New Zealand = ) The store is Dr Sound (Kurosawa Gakki).

The song is Temperamental by Mr Big (Paul Gilbert).

Ok the playing is not perfect and my gf stopped filming right at the cool part but it's still a special video for me as it was my first time playing this guitar.

  • go fuck yourself damned lucky boy :( They are not avalable here in North America :'(

  • @EldubeG25 Haha go to Tokyo and you can buy one too = P I hope they weren't destroyed in the earthquake = /

  • I went to Ochanomizu back in the Winter of 09' as well...that place completely blew my head off, as I've never seen a street dedicated to guitar before...I was literally in heaven. Would have bought myself a proper Japanese ESP too...if my family were there and I didn't ditch them to find this magical place. Great guitar man, hope you cherish it for the rest of your life.

  • @leoseanster Thanks mate yeah I love this axe. I went back in January this year and bought an RGR1220 which is pretty badass as well. In New Zealand we barely have any guitar stores.

  • seems like ur playing smoke on the water..lol...i have also been to kurosawa gakki shop..but it was in tokyo, ikebukuro...m from india..

  • @burubura Yeah I have been to the one in Ikebukuro as well, they are a pretty big chain store in Japan. The song is by MR BIG.

  • @leoseanster Couldn't agree more, went there in fall '09 - made 48th St look like an alleyway. It was like landing on a planet populated exclusively by hot girls - which is what most of the guitars there were! Nice purchase, nzSkitzo - hope you rock that J Custom for all its worth! Japanese ESPs (old style neck-throughs), Kramers and Jacksons - the old school stuff just kicks.

  • very interesting!!

  • @nzSkitzo Tell me about it man, I'm currently studying in Melbourne and the few guitar stores that are available here suck-ass compared to Ochanomizu. I might make a trip down there again this December to finally get an ESP or another Ibanez. Japanese guitars are superbly made, possibly better than the American ones in my opinion.

  • @nzSkitzo I don't have the money for a plane... certainly not for a JCustom.. lol
