Polar Bear Club Mark V Dive

Cold enough for ya? Swim with the Polar Bears in Coney Island. The Coney Island Polar Bear Club is the oldest winter bathing organization in the United States. "We swim in the Atlantic Ocean at Coney Island every Sunday from October through April." We had a cold water splash as we dressed the president of the Polar Bear Club Louie Scarcella in a 1943 Vintage US NAVY Mark V Diving Dress. It was fun making this historical Dive, in Coney Island. It's fun for all ages. Here's what Louie said about the event; "It's a celebration of life. When you are in the water you know you are alive. It is also great for the mind and body. We also believe it strengthens the immune system. We have some of the greatest and most interesting people in the club."
