If I am old and alone, I am going to pay someone every day to come and check that I am still alive so that if I die alone, my pets won't have to go through the trauma of being trapped with my dead body. I feel so bad for that guy's dog.

poor dog couldnt even eat for a week while his owner rotted in front of him.

Corner said he died at least 2-3 weeks prior to finding him. He had stuffed a towel under the door to hide the smell. I was just up on that floor that morning vacuuming, and smelled nothing, when I got back from lunch, you could smell it through 4 floors. He had popped.

I work at a 126 unit senior living apartment complex. We got a report of an odd odor. It smelled a bit like raw sewage. Did a door to door er check, and ding ding ding, I got door #3. It was a 74 year old tall slender white man, and what I saw in there was a 350lb black man with a beard made out of thousands and thousands of flies....The smell......NOTHING like it. I grew up on a farm, i found a 1 month dead cow in the bottom of a gully, I know what death and decay smell like.

how can anyone leave a man & his dog all alone in a home & never check on him on a daily basis to see that he has his needs met???! He had a brain tumor which meant he had only so long to live & that he would be incapacitated before dying! My God! They should have been brought up on charges of neglect & animal cruelty as well!!!
