Swishes for Wishes Highlights

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College hosted the Swishes for Wishes Basketball Challenge on April 9, 2009. It featured a student versus faculty/staff basketball game in the Junker Center.

The Swishes for Wishes game is a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish and is co-sponsored by the Senior Year Experience Committee and the spring resident assistant (RA) class. The RA class has supported Make-A-Wish since 2004 through different projects, and this year's project is the basketball game. Every year since 2004, the respective RA classes have raised at least the $3,400 average to grant one wish, and have generally exceeded that figure. Not counting this year, the students' five-year fund raising total for Make-A-Wish is nearly $20,000.
