UPDATE: I replaced my fuel pump and the problem got a little better then i replaced the Mass Airflow Sensor and the car runs great now. THESE CARS ARE KNOWN TO HAVE WEAK MAF SENSORS, SO IF YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM I WOULD SUGGEST TRYING TO REPLACE THE MAF SENSOR FIRST.

  • i had my calalytic converter replaced helped alot on my nissan its a gxe though i had the same problem!

  • You're not kidding about the MAF sensors, had mine replaced awhile back. I would also recommend having a spare cam and crank sensor and removing the balance shaft with a removal kit because this can potentially create a lot of engine problems especially if sludge builds up, which can wreak havoc on the head, oil pump, sensors, timing chain and gears. Cleaning or replacing the fuel filter is also an important maintenance procedure to maintain peak fuel efficiency and engine performance.

  • Yes definitely the maf sensor, had the same problem with my 2001 nissan altima

  • dirty throttle body from using cheap gas or letting car sit for a while

  • I have been working on nissans for a long time and I can tell you the mechanic is going tell you this is a maf or map or whatever. The problem is a stuck butterfly valve and idle jet in your throttle body( Iknow there are no throttle bodys anymore for you know it alls). Remove your throttle body and thoroughly clean it. The problem will be fixed. I promise

  • why my engine light never on???????shit...

  • yeap, I had the same problem with the MAF, now I have problems with the throttle body, but I don't care, I love my car

  • in my country we have nissan almeras and we accidently broke on wire frome the MAF and the car wud not go over 3000rpm

  • It will still crank if the pump is bad it just wont start

  • cold start injector mayby? could be a simple vaccum leak. the idle air controll valve or the vaccum line running to it are also good spots to check.
