The AHA Clinical Series
The American Heart Association has joined forces with Wiley-Blackwell to publish an exciting new series of medical references, The AHA Clinical Series.
Serving as Series Editor is the distinguished Elliott Antman, MD, FAHA, Professor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School and Director of the Coronary Care Unit at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston. Under his direction, leading experts will write or edit hardcover volumes on the most important current topics across the full range of cardiovascular medicine.
The first title, Biomarkers in Heart Disease, edited by James de Lemos, will be available in May from Wiley Publishing. The next releases in the series will be Novel Techniques for Imaging the Heart: Cardiac MR and CT, edited by Marcelo Di Carli and Raymond Kwong, Cardiovascular Genetics and Genomics, edited by Dan Roden, and Antiplatelet Therapy in Ischemic Heart Disease, edited by Stephen Wiviott.
Additional upcoming titles include Metabolic Risk for Cardiovascular Disease, edited by Robert Eckel, Pacing to Support the Failing Heart, edited by Kenneth Ellenbogen and Angelo Auricchio, Cardiogenic Shock, edited by Judith Hochman and Magnus Ohman, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease, edited by Carole Warnes.
Written for clinicians, researchers, and trainees, the books will available to AHA members at a discounted price. AHA members can also purchase other Wiley-Blackwell medical books at a special discount.
In keeping with the AHA's mission of "building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke," these books will help cardiologists translate scientific and technological advances into better patient care.
