"The Stand" is about surrender.
Surrendering our lives is one of the hardest things to do, even though we know that our God is almighty, loving and omnipresent.
We may cling on to our fears and doubts because we can not completely trust that God is control.
We may cling on to our sins because we are selfish in our lifestyles in the way, that we want God to be only king in our "holy moments," and repent on Sundays.
We may cling on to our time, money, and possessions, but we must keep God first.
We may cling on to our troubles, we feel self-pity, and endless hurt, but God is right there to be clung on to.
Let us pray to release our grip on everything that we needlessly cling on to, and cling on to God.
It'll never be easy, but in order for us to truly live of the Spirit, freely with God by our sides, let us surrender our lives, so that we can truly live.
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Romans 12:1
