Jet Boil - Personal Cook System Stove malfunction

Just picked up a new Jet Boil stove for $100 at REI and it leaks. The flux ring is a metal ring that helps conduct heat from the burner to the bottom of the cup. The flux ring is spot welded to the bottom of the cup and several of the welds penetrated the bottom of the cup allowing liquid to run out of the cup onto the burner. The stove boils liquids very quickly, but if it leaks like a sieve, what's the point?

It leaks? So its faulty? Here in the UK, we would do something called 'taking it back' and 'getting a replacement'

This has to be the most trivial and pointless critique of a perfectly good stove system.

This guy is a tool. Most of his videos are just inane ramblings, and whining. If you see "jdeluisa" (just delusional) posting something save yourself time and move on by.

It would be helpful if you described in the video what you did to resolve the issue and how future buyers of Jet Boil can make sure their product works i.e. bring water to store and at least test for water leakage. Perhaps testing the product in or just of of the store would be helpful. And in the manufacture process you will get "outliers" in production and a product will fail. They use software to catch spec's from getting too far from manufacture spec's.

exchange it, i have one of these and have NO problems with it...I wouldnt trade it for any other stove because it boils water faster than most hense saving fuel

@CabalRequiem First its not a perfectly good stove if it leaks is it. and second we should not have a go at someone that is raising a point about there product. you might have had a good experience with jet boil but this guy has not and for someone who is looking to buy one (like me) then I would want to know all the reviews not just the good ones. This review is more important than a review off a die hard jet boil fan like yourself
