Here's the third single release by the Hello People: "(As I Went Down to) Jerusalem" and "It's a Monday Kind of Tuesday." "Jerusalem" is today the group's best-known song, and it was a "bubbling under" hit on the Billboard charts in 1968.

  • too bad the sound is so poor I wish I knew how to upload my LP here.

  • I know! This is one of those 45s that has that awful distortion just below the loud parts--I think it's the result of being played on a damaged needle way back when.

  • I must have caught the tail end of their career in the mid 70's, but they were still very good.

  • I remember seeing Hello People on the Today Show sometime around June 1969. They did this song live.

  • @a1562z Is there anyone in your town that would convert the track to a .wma or .mp3 for ya? It shouldn't cost much to do the album.... maybe $25? Just guessin'...

  • I used to have the album, my fav cut was called Sunrise Meadow, Kinda cheesy beginning but trips into a bass/flute/light drum line nice emotional curves. I can't find it anywhere.

  • Thanx for posting. I've been thinking about "Monday kind of Tuesday" for a long time, None of my music friends could remember the song. This is another example of the B-side being the superior cut. IMHO

  • It's funny you would mention Cleveland. I'm from there too and just found this song after not hearing it since the 60s. Cool track! I heard it on CKLW out of Detroit back then.

  • très bonne trouvaille . bravo les gars.

  • As good as any rock n roll song ever. I enjoyed these guys a few times in Cleveland around 1967 at the LaCave nightclub with my fake ID. Very ahead of their time. Thankfully so was I.
