Happy ending but whats with the narrator saying David (the owner) slaps little bits to stimulate blood flow (2:30)? Thats just plain stupid, the owner is trying to scare the horse to motivate it to get up.
Horses need more good owners like this fellow.

this happed to us once. One of our old, experienced ranch horses went through the ice. We looked for him forever and when we found him he was half frozen. All we did was bring the tractor down , hitch a rope around his barrel and pull him out. Then we got him up and rubbed him to stimulate the blood and walked him the five km home.
He recovered fully. Course he wasn't pregnant!!!
