@danbo1984 Totally wrong about sinclair. The Commodore LCD counts too, unless you're going to say prototype machines don't exist.

@richardmaudsley77 Did they? Would be interested to see them... I.E. No they didn't; the prototype Commodore LCD (8 line display I think) from 1985 never made it to market, and Sinclair never trialled/prototyped/produced any sort of laptop. IBM did it first, in the early 80s, Apple did it first properly, with the Powerbook 100.

PowerBook has to be one of the most innovative pieces ever. You can thank that piece for your standard laptop that is so cheaply available today.
Microsoft innovates software, Apple innovates hardware. Linux? Runs on everything!
