Winner of The Clinical Teacher's inaugural IMPACT award, Jayne Garner and Helen O'Sullivan's 2010 paper provides insight to the role that social networking sites play in the lives of medical students. In particular, it describes the tension that exists between the public display afforded by sites such as Facebook and the need for students to develop professionally.
