  • Lololololol. What a dumbass. He's never been to the DRE class and has no idea what he's talking about. Just some slick guy in a suit trying to make a buck. It's been validated pal. Try again oh wait. Fail for u.

  • DRE is such bullshit pseudoscience. They're not medical doctors & do not possess the training or skill to accurately interpret medical conditions, take vital signs and determine muscle rigidity and the causes thereof. After all, it was founded by the LAPD, so go figure...

  • Nice intensity but that isn't the right book.

  • This guy is a fraud...word of advice Bruce, next time you're going to talk about how you, "have the book," make sure you HAVE THE BOOK!!! That is not a DRE manual, it is the NHSTA DWI Detection and SFST manual. MORON!

  • Cop made science? So the blood pressure test is "cop made science?" Identifying nystagmus, hippus and rebound dilation is cop made science? You're a loon. The DRE program WAS subjected to validation at Johns Hopkins and passes the Frye standard.

  • Everyone is entitled to their opinion. They can form that opinion with no evidnece and rely on personal attacks for support.

Would you want to be accused or convicted on cop made science that has not been validated in a laboratory? Would you trust a blood test that cops designed but did not subject to peer review or validation in the scientific community? DRE is medical observations by those with no medical training but presented as a factual determination...

  • Best be doing your homework Caspertex. The program may have been designed by the police but it has been tested by the scientific community several times. It meets the Frye standand and has been studies and validated by many universities including John Hopkins. Don't you think defense lawyers would be all over this if it wasn't validated? Of course they would. It has been tested by the scientific community and that is why they need to attack the officers and not the program.

  • Science?

There is no science in the DRE program. This curriculum and was devised by LA police officers. It is layman observations couched in medical jargon meant to indicate science.

It involves a police officer taking blood pressure, temperature, taking a person into a dark room and shining a light in their eyes

The KEY issue is this WAS NOT designed by medical or scientific personnel.

It has NOT been tested by the scientific community

  • Funny how he doesn't attack the science involved, just the possibility of a corner cutting officer. Personally, I'd take a cab rather than take my chances with this joker. He might win 1 out of every thousand and get rich doing it; but the shithead that using drugs and driving is still the loser.

  • I actually used to work with this guy, and he is serious. He gets excellant deals from the court and although he is expensive he is worth it.
