Hi what is the animation software?

The Toroidal engine has been built in the mid-40s before. The primary purpose was as a gassifier for a turbine. Most designs had a fatal flaw....the stopping and starting actions of the pistons imparted a lot of stress in the engine. It is seldom a good idea to fight inertia. The other problem was the frictional losses of said design. So, to put a load on this type of engine could cause early failure....according to history. Granted, we have better manufacturing techniques today.

@gangzerficker lol yeah, i agree with you on the one americans need LOTSSSS of cash to develop even the simplest stuff... :\ don't forget swiss engineering also, they are precise (look at their clockworks!)

@aryesegal1988 if they want and need, they can everything !
but not to mess with german engineering, thats very good quality, but much time...
usa is just crap build out of millions of dollars....
russians can survive without ANY dollar
americans need cash for everything, even a pen in space developed for millions...

mah, russians know nothing about mechanical engineering, it's a known fact... ;)

That's sure a whole lot of gearing just to get the combustion "paddles" to time. Seems like a lot of power loss there. But I'm just a guy watching a video.

that was a sick animation of it being built. nice work

where is the starter? i bet that generator at the end was as a starter too?

@FishBowl911 In this illustration, the shaft connecting to a generator, but it could just as easily operate a pump, or boot to a transmission.
So where does the stick go into the engine? All i saw was the black cap at the end of the engine without any shaft extending from it. Doesn't a shaft need to go out of the engine so that the shaft can be attached to something like the wheel so that the engine can spin the wheel to make the car move? Where is the engine main shaft?

@FishBowl911 It turns a generator which powers electric motors. So there is no direct connection between the engine and the wheels.
