I worked for Columbia in 1989. Worked with Rowdy and Shannon.
Crazy job and it was great for a young single man.

Some of the early CH-46 A models were sold to Columbia Helicopters a few years back. They had the ramps and hatches removed and also the APU's to save weight. According to a CH-46 database I was on recently some of these aircraft are still in service and still flying. I imagine that the same thing will happen to a lot of the current Marine Corps CH-46's being retired and being put in the desert too.

Actually, it's a Vertol 107-II. Relative of the CH-46. See the square passenger windows? Us 234 guys kinda like those cute little choker-haulers!
