@lennartisermoevan It doesn't have to be an exact replica, but this "interpretation" is so different from the vocal of the original it's like a runaway train (in my opinion). I also feel like he is singing the same notes too often in this version. Sure, he made it different but I think he lost the melody with all that ad-lib.

@Noellenc if I'd want to listen to the record, I'd buy the record. I wouldn't go to a concert. What is the point of having a live performance if it has to be an exact replica of a studio recording?

@Noellenc You're obviously not a Crows fan. Adam frequently extends and rewrites songs when he performs them live. He loves to mix in verses from other songs, often not even his own. You will never hear the same version of most CC songs in concert, specifically Round Here, Anna Begins, A Murder of One, and Rain King. I've seen them in concert 4 times over the years and each show is like seeing them again for the first time. Incredible.

@Noellenc It is the artist's prerogative to perform the song in whatever way they want. It is their song after all. The words are the same, but he is obviously feeling differently about the situation than he did when he wrote it/performed it some 10 years before this video was posted.

Did he have to sing every word differently than the recorded version? The music sounds amazing but if he'd sung it this way on the record.... to be honest.... I would never have loved it as much. It takes away from the melody with all that improv, and kudos if you like that sort of thing, but I'm missing something.
