Hi JohnM3791 - I agree technology has a ways to go for better low-light situations and better image stabilization. It's hard to beat a steady-cam or similar machine with software. It's a fun little camera, nonetheless, and I think Kodak may add the Zi8 features to the next version of their Zx1, the model used here.
I Bought the Sony Handycam HD XR100 Which was about $700 at the time and I also Owned the Sanyo Xacti 1080 HD Digital camcorder and it Makes no Difference, They Both Had Image Stabilizers and Both Recorded Very Jumpy HD Video, and Neither were any Good indoors.I just Dont Think Technology Has Caught Up Yet.
Randy - I processed it with iMovie to stabilize. You are right that holding the Zx1 steady is very difficult without a mono or tripod, or bracing against a wall. With practice at holding steady & supporting with both hands you can get pretty good.
The new Kodak Zi8 adds stabilization (plus full 1080i HD, and 5 megapixel stills).
