@thatguyoverthere64 No your bass ackwards. Ubuntu uses packages that are not very well tested like "alpha/beta" quality, this is one of the reasons I quit using it. Things not working that just should. Debian stable is not a rolling release. No its not for newbies. I started out on Ubuntu 8.04 and ditched it by 10.04. Then I went to Debian stable. By then I was completely comfy with it. Only difference in use is that you don't have the custom Ubuntu apps. No big deal.
@linuxguy2009 don't you have to use like all alpha/beta packages in every update since it's a rolling release? I don't use it, I use Ubuntu, but I've heard that Debian is not beginner-friendly.
