@allyballybabe I'm glad u recognize that it's just something different about yourself. It actually makes people better. One of my best friends is deaf and she is a lot nicer and smarter than the people who can hear and choose not to listen. It's only a disablitity if you choose for it to be, just like speech impediments and dyslexia. Disabilities are made by the people too lazy to work that extra bit more to succeed.

ROFLMAO! That comment in itself is ironic as hell.

@bellaqueen16 Ouch. Is that really necessary? It was good-natured, just a problem of terminology.

I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.

@allyballybabe I agree, no disability. An ability to express yourself accuratly. Just like the hearing do. Thanks for your songs. It is nice to see secular songs in ASL, as you must know a great deal of ASL music is religeous, so thanks.
I saw you featured on ABC World News, and I thought it's great that you're helping deaf people to enjoy and understand how music can express emotion and connote feeling in the listener. I know that some people go deaf later in life and already know about music, but there are many who are born deaf, or become deaf at a very early age and don't remember music very well. Deafness is a disability that can be devastating. Hearing is an essential sense often taken for granted by many.

@cpp1 Thank you! However, Deafness is NOT a disability... it is simply what it is... Deafness. The Deaf Community has its' own culture and language and customs, etc, and is embraced as part of who Deaf people are. :) Not at all a disability!
