Arwen has a vision of her son. She gives up her immortality and chooses to stay in Middle Earth with Aragorn.

One of the best scenes from LOTR ever! It always makes me tear-up when I see Eldarion.
FYI: Eldarion is her son's name.
FYI again: the name of the elf who says, "My lady Arwen, we cannot delay..." is named Aegnor and he is Galadriel's brother according to the Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien!

Guys...sad thing is she bears Aragon 3 children and then when Aragon dies she goes back to where her mother and grandmother were and they all left for the ships....so she lies down on the grass in the forest and dies of a broken heart.

Can you imagine looking into the future and seeing the face of your child who won't be born??
As a father myself, this is just un-imagineable. Pain on a level that's just impossible to comprehend.
